Veneers are a process of doing a coating, a porcelain coating over the front of a tooth. A good candidate for veneers is somebody who has slightly misaligned teeth and doesn't want to do either Invisalign or conventional brace. Porcelain veneers, it really last. It really depends on how the patient treats them. It's true with anything in dentistry. It's really important that a patient understand that home care is a vital part of making sure dentistry lasts a long time. But veneers last anywhere from 10 to 15 years generally. Veneers are considered a permanent solution. They're very durable. And as long as they're prepped correctly and cemented properly, they are extremely strong. If properly done, they're as strong as the natural tooth.
